Meet Cinthya
I'm the daughter of immigrant parents who believed deeply in the power of public education. Our schools helped shape who I am today as a first-generation college graduate and naturalized citizen.
I've spent 14 years in public education: 9 years as a classroom teacher, 3 as an instructional coach, and 2 as a bilingual coordinator. I understand what happens in classrooms and how board decisions affect students, teachers, and families.
I'm also a single mom of two children in public school. The decisions this board makes are personal to me.
Why I'm Running
I'm running because I believe our district is at a critical moment. We must strengthen what's working, address the challenges we face, and prepare our students for a rapidly changing world.
Strong schools require thoughtful leadership, responsible decision-making, and a deep commitment to students, families, and educators. Every child, regardless of background, language, or circumstance, deserves access to high-quality education in a district that listens, adapts, and leads forward.
This isn't just about maintaining the status quo. It's about building a stronger, more future-ready CFBISD for every family.
Transparent, student-centered decisions. Policies should be clear, evidence-based, and focused on what benefits students, not politics.
Smart, sustainable financial leadership. Taxpayer dollars must be used wisely, with long-term planning that prioritizes classrooms and teachers.
Every student supported to succeed. From multilingual learners to advanced programs, every child deserves the support they need to thrive.
Families as true partners. Parents deserve to be heard, respected, and included in meaningful ways.
My Vision for CFBISD
I envision a district where every child has a strong academic foundation, every teacher feels supported, and every family feels heard.
A district that is financially strong, academically excellent, and prepared to lead in a rapidly changing world.
Together, we can build schools that not only meet today's needs, but create opportunities for the future.
My Priorities
Strengthening oversight, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and making decisions that are transparent, data-informed, and focused on student outcomes.
Prioritizing early literacy, supporting multilingual learners, and ensuring every student has access to high-quality instruction and opportunities from the start.
Making long-term decisions that strengthen our district financially while preparing students for the future through innovation, career pathways, and evolving educational opportunities.
Creating meaningful opportunities for families and educators to be heard, improving communication, and ensuring decisions reflect the needs of our community.
Our students are entering a rapidly changing world. CFBISD can lead by expanding career pathways, integrating technology responsibly, and preparing students for the careers of tomorrow.
